5 Things 2021 Taught Me
So much has happened over the past 12 months. I know most probably don't want to look back but you learn valuable things when you're knocked on your ass trying to navigate a pandemic. This year was long enough for most so I’ll keep it short. Here are a few things I learned:
Pushing The Narrative Forward Through Community
I think we can all agree that 2020 as a whole shook things up for us, to say the least. I feel that the space we are currently in is the calm AFTER the storm and I just want all of us to take note that we made it through the storm that was 2020 and we did it together.
Finding Your Ground - Tend To Your Roots
Hey all, so your girl has been gone for A WHILE. We all know that 2020 has been like a real-life episode of Black Mirror. Needless to say, I know we are all feeling A Lot… Here are some thoughts on how to find your ground.
"Know Thyself"
Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. - Albert Einstein
I came across an interesting article yesterday and realized that the way I learn has evolved.
It All Starts With Y-O-U
All the tools you need in life are inside of you. And it's up to you to learn and try to find out how to activate those tools and the answers that are inside of you. - Ulysses Bryant
Does the traditional office/work environment drive you crazy?
Me too. Something about a sterile environment and bland cubicles just makes me shut down. My creative mind goes from its colorful hues to a blank canvas and I end up staring out into space adding things to do on my list but getting Nada done. Well, I know there are many of us creatives out there that have so much to share and give but we need the right environment to let our creativity flow.
